One third of all UK adults to grow their own this year!

Asked my local radio's gardening program why people don't just take the seeds from Supermarket produce like I have and he gave me a really convoluted answer. Which sounded to me like "the seed catalogue people pay my wages!"

Seems a very simple solution to me Shawn.
I imagine there would be many many 'middlemen' against the idea ;)

Have you a list of suitable vegetables that have been particularly succesful form say an ASDA (Walmart owned) store bought vegetable seed,if it grows here, it should grow in a lot of U.S counties also I guess.
Ben.

Done two different types of tomato and chili peppers. Just started some cucumbers as well.
Will post some picks of the cucumbers if they come up because they will be upside down ones.

My mother pushed two seeds from a honey dew melon into a plant pot a few weeks ago after hearing what I was up to and they came up as well. Looks like anything will grow. :?
