Low voltage cutout on inverter

I have a small 150w inverter that runs off a 12v battery. The low voltage shutdown is around 10v, to me this seems a bit on the low side, but having looked at other inverters it seems to be standard. I would of thought that a batery is going to be pretty much 100% discharged when it hits 10v under load, and as small inverters like these are often used with car batteries it seems to be bad practice to have such a low voltage shutdown.

Any thoughts on what a more sensible shutdown voltage (under load) should be?
